Searching InfoCentral

To search InfoCentral, click on the "Advanced Search" link on the top navigation bar. This will show the search screen labeled "Advanced Search." Determine the search method that best meets your need (use "exact phrase" if unsure), enter your search term or phrase, select the document(s) you wish to search, and click the search button. Selecting no publication to search may result in a large number of hits. It is always best to narrow your search as much as possible to speed the return of results.

Hint: You can limit your search to a particular publication by clicking in the small box to the left of the titles under "Publication(s) to search" in this search form. If no boxes are checked, all documents will be searched.

You can limit your search to specific documents and folders by clicking the small box to the left of each title found in the lower part of the search form. When no boxes are checked, the entire InfoCentral database will be searched. It is always best to narrow your search as much as possible to speed the return of results.

Search results will appear in a split screen. The search hits are shown in the bottom window and the documents are shown in the top window. Click on any of the underlined document titles (numbered) or highlighted search terms in the bottom screen to view corresponding content in the top screen. Search terms are shown in the top window highlighted in yellow. Use either the "Next Hit" or "Prev Hit" buttons at the top or bottom of the search hits screen to scroll through documents in the top screen.

Browsing InfoCentral

Use the Table of Contents on the left side of the screen to browse InfoCentral. Click on the PLUS sign to expand folders or documents, click on the MINUS sign to collapse folders or documents. To view a document click the document title. When selected the title will appear in a white box and the page icon will be replaced by a red right-pointing arrow to further indicate your selection. Because some documents are displayed in .pdf format, your computer will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. (Download Acrobat Reader -- it's FREE.)·

Sync TOC

Stands for "Synchronize with Table of Contents." When clicked it allows you to locate a searched-for document in the Table of Contents.

Printing the Document

You can print any document. First, click anywhere in the document window itself to select it. Next, click your browser's printer icon to print the document. Some documents may require setting your page orientation to landscape.

Saving a Document

Documents may be added to your Favorites by right-clicking anywhere in the document window and then left-clicking on your browser's Favorites link and then on the Add To Favorites link on the drop down menu. The saved document, when selected from your Favorites menu, will open when you are logged into InfoCentral.
